Seattle, WA - Woman Struck by SUV at S Edmunds St & MLK Jr Way S

Seattle, WA (June 10, 2021) - A pedestrian crash was reported in the Seattle area at around 10:40 p.m. on Sunday evening, June 6.

Local reports indicated that the scene was located at the corner of S. Edmunds Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way South. A woman was reportedly traveling in a marked crosswalk at the intersection when she was hit by two vehicles. The injured pedestrian had reportedly just exited the nearby light-rail train.

The woman was first struck by a Toyota Prius and was then hit again by a Cadillac Escalade. The driver of the northbound Toyota remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, while the other motorist fled. The wounded party was taken to Harborview Medical Center for surgery and treatment of sustained injuries.

An ongoing crash investigation is underway.
