Port Orchard, WA (June 9, 2021) - A collision in Port Orchard involving a wrong-way driver left two people injured on Sunday, June 6.
The incident reportedly occurred on WA-16 near Mullenix Road that afternoon. Witnesses from the scene indicated that the driver of a sedan was traveling west on the eastbound lanes of the highway. The sedan continued down the roadway and collided with a pickup truck.
Both drivers suffered injuries and were hospitalized following the impact. At this time, the identities of the injured parties have not been provided. The area was closed temporarily while emergency responders were on-site.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
