Trucking Accidents in Seattle

undefinedWhen it comes to freight transportation in the United States, commercial trucks reign supreme, and these massive vehicles may represent a severe threat to passengers in passenger automobiles traveling at high speeds. In a tractor-trailer or semi-truck collision, someone is killed or badly injured every 15 seconds, or every 15 minutes. The occupants of passenger vehicles were reportedly involved in approximately 67% of fatal semi-truck incidents in the year 2019.

According to some estimates, truck drivers who had been cited for speeding in the months preceding the disaster account for more than a quarter of fatal 18-wheeler accidents. Individuals driving smaller vehicles are more likely to sustain life-threatening injuries in a car accident, as evidenced by national accident statistics on the subject, according to the data. Trucking accidents claim the lives of thousands of people every year. Each year, approximately 500,000 incidents involving trucks are reported.

In the case of a collision with a passenger car, large semi-trucks can cause severe and life-threatening injuries. Driver inexperience is a significant cause of fatal commercial vehicle accidents, which occurs when firms scramble to fill jobs owing to a scarcity of qualified drivers. This carelessness adds to catastrophic incidents involving 18-wheelers and other commercial vehicles. When a trucking accident occurs as a consequence of the carelessness of another driver, affected victims should speak with a Seattle trucking injury attorney in order to recover lost compensation via the filing of a Washington personal injury claim.
