Seattle, WA - Pedestrian Hit by RV at Delridge Wy & Andover St

Seattle, WA (February 18, 2021) - A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a recreational vehicle in the Seattle area on Monday afternoon, February 15.

The accident took place at the intersection of Delridge Way SW and SW Andover Street at around 2:30 p.m. The driver of the RV reportedly reversed into a sport-utility vehicle at the intersection. The 44-year-old woman driving the SUV was treated at the scene for sustained injuries.

The RV then collided with a tanker truck and a nearby 79-year-old pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the RV reportedly fled the scene but was later apprehended by authorities.

The 47-year-old man driving the RV reportedly received numerous criminal charges following the crash. An ongoing investigation into the accident is underway.
