Puyallup, WA (September 16, 2021) - A Kent man suffered serious injuries and a driver was taken into custody following a traffic accident in the Puyallup area on Tuesday, September 14.
The incident occurred on WA-167 NB early that morning at around 3 a.m. Local reports indicated that four men were traveling in the vehicle at the time of the crash. The car reportedly left the roadway before hitting a guardrail.
The impact resulted in the vehicle flipping onto its side. Paramedics transported one victim,a 32-year-old man, to Tacoma General Hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. The 29-year-old Federal Way man driving the car was arrested for driving under the influence. He is potentially facing charges related to vehicular assault.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
