Deadly T-Bone Crashes in Washington
Certain kinds of crashes are more deadly than others. T-bone collisions are thought to be responsible for 18% of fatal incidents. However, these accidents account for less than a third of all documented automobile accidents. When a vehicle's side is struck in an accident, several onboard auto safety systems fail. As a result, severe injuries are more likely. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, around 8,000 people are killed in side-impact crashes each year.
