Thurston Co, WA (August 8, 2021) - A two-vehicle collision in Thurston County on Friday, August 6, ended in confirmed injuries.

The accident occurred on Interstate 5 at the Nisqually River Bridge that afternoon. According to local reports, a Washington State Patrol vehicle was on the highway at the time of the crash. The vehicle was reportedly struck by another car.

The impact caused the patrol car to crash into another vehicle on the roadway. There were two troopers inside the vehicle at the time of the crash, and both were transported to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. A K-9 in the car also sustained injuries. No other involved parties required medical treatment.
