Everett, WA (July 17, 2021) - On Wednesday, July 14, a total of three people were injured following a two-vehicle accident in the Everett area.

The incident reportedly occurred just south of the city on Highway 99 near Gibson Road. Local reports revealed that a 20-year-old Everett woman was traveling in a white Mazda CX-9 while passing another vehicle at a high rate of speed. At around 5:10 p.m. that day, the woman reportedly crashed in the passenger-side door of a blue Volkswagen Jetta that was in the process of making a left-hand turn onto the highway.

A 21-year-old Snohomish passenger in the Jetta suffered critical injuries in the impact and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Both other drivers were also injured. The 33-year-old driver of the Jetta was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett and the other motorist was transported to Swedish Edmonds.

No further updates have been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more details will be released as it progresses.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
