Auburn, WA (February 27, 2021) - One person was killed and another critically injured following a car accident in the Auburn area on Thursday evening, February 25.
The deadly accident reportedly took place on WA-18 near Auburn Black-Diamond Road. A wrong-way driver traveling on the highway collided head-on with another motorist at around 7:30 p.m. The driver traveling in the correct direction sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The wrong-way driver was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in critical condition. The driver was later arrested for vehicular manslaughter. The identities of the crash victims have not been disclosed at this time.
Local law enforcement officials are currently investigating the cause of the deadly crash.
