Olympia, WA - UPDATE: Gregory Kellogg Fatally Struck by Semi on 93rd Ave

Olympia, WA (May 25, 2021) - Local authorities have released the name of the cyclist who was killed after being hit by a semi-truck in Olympia on Wednesday, May 19.

The fatal crash occurred at the 500 block of 93rd Avenue SE at around 4 p.m. that afternoon. Local sources revealed that 42-year-old Gregory Kellogg was riding a bike on the roadway at the time of the deadly accident. Kellogg was reportedly struck by a semi-tractor-trailer.

Emergency responders were on the scene to provide aid to the injured victim. Despite life-saving measures from paramedics, Kellogg succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the truck showed no signs of impairment and cooperated with responding officials.

An ongoing investigation into the collision is underway.
