Everett, WA - Two Injured in Apartment Fire on 8th Ave W

Everett, WA (May 18, 2021) - On Sunday, May 16, an apartment fire in Everett left two people injured and 16 others without a home.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at around 3:40 a.m. that morning. The fire broke out at the Hangar 128 Apartments at the 13000 block of 8th Avenue W. The blaze reportedly began in a unit on the second floor.

One victim sustained smoke inhalation injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Another injured party was treated at the scene by responding firefighters. The fire was contained to the single unit, but three others were damaged due to smoke and water.

The damages were reported to be at least $75,000, and local reports indicated that the fire was started due to items placed too close to a heater.

An ongoing investigation into the fire is underway.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
