Deadly Pedestrian Accidents in Seattle

undefinedFor a number of reasons, many Seattle locals choose to walk, but data suggest that this may not be the safest option. Despite the fact that pedestrians have the very same right to use the road as any other motorist, pedestrians continue to be killed in significant numbers by automobiles. Pedestrian deaths continue to rise year after year, despite a decrease in passenger car mortality throughout the country. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, pedestrians have a 1.5 times greater probability of dying in an accident than drivers. In the case of an accident, pedestrians have considerably less protection, putting them more vulnerable to death.
