Mercer Island, WA (April 21, 2021) - Three people were hospitalized following a two-car crash in Mercer Island on Monday, April 19.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Interstate 90 and E. Mercer Way. At around 2:30 a.m. that morning, two vehicles reportedly collided at the scene. Emergency responders were called to the site to provide aid to the injured parties.
Three occupants of one of the involved vehicles fled the scene on foot. All three were later found by authorities. Multiple lanes on the highway were closed following the accident.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
