Bothell, WA (May 29, 2021) - A crash caused by a suspected drunk driver in the Bothell area left two people injured on Wednesday, May 27.
The accident occurred on Interstate 405 NB south of WA-527 at around 10 a.m. that morning. The allegedly intoxicated motorist crashed into a Washington State Department of Transportation vehicle. The WSDOT worker was reportedly blocking lanes on the roadway with orange traffic cones.
The at-fault driver crashed through the cones into the worker’s vehicle. Both the driver and WSDOT worker were transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition. The responsible driver is currently being investigated for driving under the influence.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
