Tacoma, WA - Man Seriously Injured in Hit-&-Run on WA-512

Tacoma, WA (April 28, 2021) - A man suffered serious injuries after being struck by a motor vehicle in the Tacoma area on Monday, April 26.

The pedestrian crash occurred on WA-512 late that evening, according to initial reports. A driver had reportedly crashed into a cable barrier on the highway and exited his car, stepping onto the road. It was at this time that he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

The driver involved in the incident proceeded to flee the scene. The victim was hospitalized in serious condition. Debris from the scene indicated that the involved vehicle was an older model Ford 250 or 350 pickup truck or possibly an older Ford Transit van.

An ongoing investigation into the accident is in progress.
