Summer, WA - Patricia Snuggs Dies in Pileup Crash on WA-167

Summer, WA (June 24, 2021) - A Mount Vernon woman was killed in a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck in the Summer area on Friday, June 18.

The deadly accident occurred on WA-167 at around 1:30 p.m. that afternoon. Local reports revealed that 81-year-old Patricia Snuggs of Mount Vernon was traveling southbound in a Ford F-350 pickup truck at the time of the crash. Snuggs reportedly collided with the rear of a Mazda CX-5, which caused her pickup to overturn onto the ride side of the highway. Her truck then crashed into a semi-truck.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene. Snuggs was pronounced dead by attending paramedics. Neither the Tacoma man driving the Mazda nor the Puyallup man operating the semi were injured. The area was closed for several hours while emergency responders were present.

An ongoing crash investigation is being managed by local authorities. More details will be released as the inquiry continues.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Patricia Snuggs at this time.
