Manson, WA (June 1, 2021) - Two people were seriously injured following a camper fire in the Manson area on Saturday, May 29.
The incident reportedly occurred in the area of Roses Lake and Wapato Lake at around 2 a.m. that morning. Emergency responders were called to the site of a fire and explosions. When officials arrived, they located a camper, a car, and an ongoing grass fire.
The fire was contained to a single acre and was extinguished by responding firefighters at around 5 a.m. Local reports revealed that authorities believe the fire started inside the camper. Two injured parties were flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for the treatment of serious burn injuries.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
