Tacoma, WA - Fatality in Local Neighborhood House Fire on East B St

Tacoma, WA (July 16, 2021) - Early on Thursday morning, July 15, a residential fire in a local Tacoma neighborhood ended in a fatality.

Firefighters and emergency crews were sent to the scene of the blaze located at a home at the 4600 block of E. B Street. The incident was reported early that morning at around 5 a.m. after local witnesses claimed seeing smoke and flames at the site. When emergency personnel arrived, they located one person trapped inside the structure and were able to extricate them from the home.

The fire was able to be extinguished, requiring additional fire departments to be called to the blaze. The occupant of the building suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased party has not been provided at this time.
