Renton, WA - Motorcyclist Dies in Pileup Crash at I-405 & 44th St

Renton, WA (July 5, 2021) - A three-vehicle collision in the Renton area resulted in the death of a motorcyclist on Sunday, July 4.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the deadly accident occurred at the intersection of Interstate 405 and 44th Street. The incident took place late that evening. Following the impact, all northbound lanes on the highway were blocked.

A motorcyclist was involved in a crash with two other vehicles. Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid to the involved parties. The rider sustained fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. At this time, it is unknown if any other involved parties suffered injuries in the crash.

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials. More information will be provided as the inquiry continues.
